There are still some great back to school deals to be had on basic supplies. I found blank composition books for dirt cheap and bought an armful for my kids' doodling. Then I stumbled upon Annaliese's idea to cover them up using pretty paper.
The best thing is that the project doesn't require too many special materials and it allows you to make plain composition books much more special.
