Q: I live in India, and away from my parents as well as in-laws, which isn't the norm here. This means I have a visit from my in-laws or parents or cousins or some guest-or-the-other on many weekends. Since the weather in my city is great, and there's a vibrant night life, this usually means guests come stay over for mini vacations, but some leave early Monday morning leaving my house a mini disaster zone...
Do you have any tips on how to get your house back to normal after (messy/inconsiderate) guests leave? I frequently am frantically cleaning my home after a guest leaves and before someone arrives for dinner the next day... tips would be really helpful! -Sent by Purva
Editor: Well, you can always tell your family that your place is booked because you've invited a nice, neat Good Questions Editor to stay for the weekend in their stead... But seriously, what do those of you in fabulous vacation destinations do to keep yourself from becoming an overworked, unpaid innkeeper? Have you had any luck getting guests to be neater? If not, how do you keep your home nice and yourself sane? Thanks!
