Redecorating doesn't mean you have to start over from scratch. Most of us don't have the time or money to overhaul our homes to keep up with changing trends, but there are many small ways to refresh a room. Since colors change in relation to one another, switching just one wall from blue to red can completely transform a space. Click below for a few other ways to inject color in small doses...

For a simple update, change out your pillows and blankets. Photo: Kathleen and Alex's Guest-Ready Condo.

For a quick pick-me-up, paint an accent wall...or shelf...or ceiling. Photo: Marilyn and Peter's home.

Painting, staining, or reupholstering a piece of furniture can bring just the right focal point to a room. Photo: Christy and John's Logan Square Bungalow.

One way to add pattern: change out your curtains. Photo: Nicole's New Guest Room.

Colorful trim isn't just for the exterior of a home, it can brighten up the interior as well. Photo: Bright Borders from AT:LA.

For no money, you can reorganize a collection by color. Photo: Emily and Craig's Logan Square Rehab.
