After purchasing two GORM shelves from IKEA, Instructables user randofo found one of them was a little crooked. Instead of running all the way back to IKEA, he decided he'd turn it into a DIY project, modifying it into a sturdy window seat with ample storage for records, books, and other media storage beneath. His process is rather extensive, with lots of wood choppin' and sawdust, but we believe the end result really speaks for itself.
If you're interesting in building your own windowsill shelf-seating area and wish to read more on the entire process, feel free to check out the entire tutorial over at Instructables.
