Q: I have a number of fabric cellular (also known as honeycomb) shades in my house. They are single celled and there are tears in the fabric of the majority of the shades due to age, and an overzealous kitty. The mechanics of the shades work just fine, but I would like to replace the fabric. I haven't been able to find a source for new cellular shade fabric only. I called the makers of the shades and they said I would have to buy the entire shade assembly. This seems like a terrible waste to me, not to mention unnecessarily costly. Any ideas?
