Q: I have just purchased an older ranch style home and renovations need to be made, starting with the bathrooms. There won't be much money left but I want to fix up the basement which currently consists of a concrete floor, cinderblock walls and wood beams and insulation for a ceiling. I plan to put in a closed ceiling and some lighting first but am wondering what to do next; floor or walls? In particular what do you suggest for the cinderblock walls? Should I paint or put up drywall, paneling or something else? Sent by Janice
