From The Kitchn → An Outdoor Movie Party
Alas I fear that, as with the last post about an outdoor home 'cinema', there will be a plethora of comments grumbling about the selfishness of neighbours, making a bit of noise in their garden as frequently as once in a hundred years. Well, count yourselves lucky, would-be grumblers! The feral brat-factory next door to me decided it would be a good idea to install a drum kit in their garden this summer, for their screaming brood to bash away on, from dawn till dusk, DAILY. Even the gods have had enough of the unholy racket and have spared us all, with a few days of intermittent showers. So, if any of you are even considering just the slightest of whinges about the one night when your next-door neighbour gingerly parked their telly in the backyard and sat straining to hear it because they were too afraid to turn the volume up any higher than 'mute', lest they incur your wrath, just consider my miserable plight....or at least that of the poor, suffering nanny who has to sit outside, at ground zero, the whole time. They couldn't possibly be paying her enough! ;)
