For all you sunny, warm states out there in the USA have you been feeling jealous over all the talk about cold, snowpocalypse winter storms lately?

Yeah, I didn't think so. But if you wanted to get a little taste of winter in your home this year you could always do what they did over at I Never Kissed A Dog and create a DIY indoor winter storm with white post-it notes.
Although I don't suspect many of you will actually take this project on (being that it is an art installation), I'm glad it has been done for us to marvel at. All that detailed work sure made for some spectacular imagery!

White Enamel Four-P...
I see a lot of comments about how two people living in a large home is somehow a crime of waste. And I almost categorically disagree with that sentiment because how we live is very personal and it's not going to come through on a house tour how effectively we use our space and it seems unnecessarily judgey and preachy to comment on that sort of thing. But this? THIS to me is wasteful.
Papering a wall or sofa with post its for a few days or weeks and then trashing them (even if you are going to recycle it) seems kind of silly to me. I'm totally willing to admit I'm missing something, though.
Not envious about the weather up north. I find this wasteful and pointless.
Some people have too much time on their hands???
Agree. Most installation art, to me (and I do have an art degree) is an ongoing "Emperor's new Clothes" joke. Andy Goldsworthy makes real art in the category, but Post-Its don't qualify. And anybody who wishes they could have the fun of winter, come on to NH and shovel my snow -- drive in the slush -- pay the heating bills -- fall on the ice... Awesome!
Um, is this an early April Fool's post?
I like the "I don't like this, therefore posting this was a huge waste of my valuable time (which I clearly am actually fine wasting, going the extra mile to write a snide comment on this instead of just skimming past it)" mentality. Probably the best part about the internet. Thanks, jasminedomestic.
I hope they take those down when they are done and use them as actual post-its... then recycle them.
lol is this a serious post?
Looks like it would be hell to clean up.
Gotta agree... what a useless waste. Boo.
@SherryBinNH - I'd LOVE to come shovel for you! Due to the tornadoes and storms to the south, we had sunny skies and sixty+ temps yesterday in Alabama: I'd give a whole lot to see normal winter weather again!
Now I know why they got rid of the "green" section.
