Q: The bedroom in my new apartment has three windows right in a row with about 6 inches in between each one. I'm having trouble figuring out the best way to hang curtains for them! I work nights and sleep a lot during the day so I need something that blocks out a lot of light! Any suggestions?

I would install curtains from ceiling to floor and all the way across the wall. Pick a large graphic pattern and that's all the decorating the room would need.
I'd hang one rod all the way across and then hang single panels on each end and around the window in the middle, hiding the wall in between the windows.
I agree with the other suggestions; also, don't take down the blinds-- having blinds and curtains together will block more light.
Lots of stores, Ikea included, sell heavy curtains designed specifically to block out light.
I agree with Toypixie. I did this in my house with two windows that are a foot apart. The panels in between cover the wall, so you get the illusion of one big window. Ceiling to floor is a must.
