I'm trying to create a functional, inviting space out of my narrow dining room. Due to its location, I need to walk through both ends of this room to get to the living room, kitchen, and upstairs. It's about 10 feet wide (yes, it's true), and a powder room and utility closet are located on the wall opposite the exposed brick. I'm thinking of adding a ceiling fixture, lamps, a rug, and a mirror over the buffet to reflect light from the kitchen. The dropleaf 1860's table can be pulled from the wall to accommodate more people. The size, shape and location of this room definitely pose challenges. Would love any suggestions and tips!
