We have to admit that we love the cardboard furniture we've seen around the last little while, like the DIY chair from kraftwerk that Gregory at Apartment Therapy LA posted here. Check out this DIY tutorial on creating an entire living room set!
Instructables.com has tons and tons of DIY projects--it seems there is a project for any taste, any interest, any skill level. This how-to on building furniture with cardboard piqued our interest, especially because it leaves the overall shape up to the builder. If it works as well as they say it does, it could be a great project! We'd like to try at least one chair....

Haha this reminds me of an Art class I took a few years ago, can't remember the name, but the final project was to make a chair out of cardboard and elmers glue. My group's was pretty amazing, very sturdy, we cut into the little divots and shoved cardboard supports in about every 3inches. We got 4 people to stand on it without it breaking :)
I approve.
well frank gehry is probably the first to have cardboard furniture manufactured and many manufacturers do this for prototype prior and they are surprisingly strong.
