We can't tell you the number of times we've tried to perfect our under-the-bed storage. We have a few boxes, a few bags, a few loose items, but it's never quite right and always makes us a little anxious.
Yes, there are a ton of products out there (Container Store, anyone?) for this type of organizational nightmare, but we really liked the potential for multiple uses - as well as the DIY aspect - of this easy "closet on wheels."
By attaching casters to any type, size, and style of box or crate you choose, you may just rescue yourself from additional under-the-bed nightmares. Let us know if you've done this or something similar...we're looking for great ideas!

White Enamel Flatwa...
I just put my bed in my walk in closet and created under the bed storage by using bed lifters/risers in addition to a metal frame that was taller than usual. I have to have a bedskirt to hide what's under there anyways (big boxes of yarn for my business), so it was nice to gain the extra 18 inches under my bed.
ummm...too...much...work.
I need to do this! I live in an old house w/ tiny closets. I have tons of clothes--mostly work-out clothes in a giant zip-lock under my bed. Its quite ridiculous. I never close it, things are falling out all the time...there is dog hair and dust attached to my t-shirts. I know this is so not crafty and obviously not diy of me, but I really just want to buy these things. Anyone know where to buy?
I wish our bed was high enough to do that, so much potential storage space. :(
Doesn't anyone else have dust issues? Dust settles all over the tops of my underbed mishmash of storage containers - I'd hate to leave things uncovered. Especially things we use only rarely, only to pull them out when needed and find them covered in ick.
(and yes, this is probably directly related to how infrequently I vacuum my hardwood floors)
