HP Incorporates Widgets Into Photosmart Printer

We just purchased a GPS unit, but prior we've had the habit of using Google Maps and printing out directions whenever we head out somewhere new (which is often, due to our love of roadtrips). Looks like HP realizes a great many printers are used in similar fashion, as their next HP Photosmart Premium has incorporated a touchscreen widgets interface. Watch it in action below and tell us what you think...

Looks like an iPod Touch attached onto an HP printer. On one hand, it's a cool idea, since we use our printer mostly for things as mundane as directions and movie ticket printouts. On the other hand, it seems redundant to use a touchscreen interface when we just send our print jobs remotely from our laptop without issue and without the need to get off our lazy behind. What do you think (about the printer, not our behind)?
