Nice furniture. The web site says it sells "nice furniture to nice people, nicely." You can't beat that, and they must be Dutch. They are. Huisraad is a real alternative to Room & Board, Crate & Barrel, and PB.
Huisraad has a sophisticated, urban collection of sofas, chairs, sectionals, tables, and cabinets with a slight European styling which won't scare you off. In particular, their multimedia storage collection is big and attractive. Similar to Conran's, they seem to be growing quickly, with two new stores opening as we speak. All of them are in New Jersey, and all ordering can be done by phone.
Prices: under $2,000 for most couches (leather too), under $1,500 for tall, wooden bookcases, and under $1,300 for large dining tables. Prices don't go too high, but they don't go cheap either. The construction looks to be all hardwoods, steel and quality fabrics. (Thanks, Patrick!) MGR

The furniture is fine but the customer service was the worst I have ever recieved. They don't deliver when they tell you they will. We waited almost three months for our furniture when they told us two weeks! Then we changed the way we wanted to pay for the furniture and they basically accused us of trying to steal it and then called us liars! NEVER BUY FURNITURE FROM HERE!
