We've posted about newfangled sewing machines several times here at Unplggd, as a few of us work with the machines for both personal DIY and professional endeavors. But as much as we like computerized version of sewing machines, we're still prone to love the vintage mechanical designs of yesteryear, like this dreamy orangesicle hued 70's Husqvarna Viking 3600 model...

Manufactured by one of the oldest existing companies in the world, Husqvarna, this early 1970s era sewing machine is a workhorse and a beauty. The Viking 3600 model comes complete with the original stand, manual, case, foot pedal, and all accessories. It may need a light cleaning and oiling to keep it running for another 40 years, but otherwise it is in excellent working condition. The orange color is rare.
A rare and wonderful design, indeed.
Available for $700.00 at Candystore Collective.

Huskies are touchy. But I must say I love that orange case.
Most of the people I know who depend on a home machines for big projects, swear by the older Berinas. While they had some computerized part, the mechanics are old school cast metal. I have a 1230 from the early 90s that I still use like the workhorse that it is. I may have to think about taking my Bernie's case out and having it powder coated along with my vintage tanker chairs.
