New technology always opens doors. But the Twitter-led, one-way, micro blogging phenomenon is opening up a lot more than doors. Think bottles of bubbly, the sunroof of a towncar and jars of the finest caviar. The CEO of Hyatt revealed to USA Today that the Hyatt hotel concierge is now on Twitter, providing 24-7 service to hotel guests worldwide.

The Hyatt Concierge Twitter made it's debut on Monday but is already setting up spa appointments, reserving cars from the airport and recommending local Mexican restaurants.

As far as we can tell, the centralized HyattConcierge Twitter team works with the concierge at each of its hotels to assure accurate and timely advice for all hotel guests. They said this:

Many major brands - including some hotel companies - are already experimenting in this emerging social media space. But HyattConcierge is not a promotional one-way stream of communication. It is a service designed to enhance our ability to deliver Hyatt's very own authentic hospitality around the world.

To get in on the goodness and plan your next vacation through Twitter (who would have thought!), tweet @HyattConcierge.
