This year, IKEA had a big, beautiful booth at ICFF filled with the upcoming PS Collection. It was full of interesting pieces with more than a few that we could see being new "classics". The vibe is craft-y and the materials rustic but the Swedish cozy clean design aesthetic still shines through...Shown above, left to right:

1. PS Maskros,Pendant $89.99
2. PS Bintje $49.99 - 69.99
3. PS Karljohan side table/stool $59.99
4. PS Bruse coffee table $149.
5. PS Veranda bed frame $499
Bottom row:
6. PS Bunke serving bowl $19.99
7. PS Stock vases $24.99 - 29.99 each
8. PS Krona bowl $14.95
9. PS Saga chair $69.99
10. PS August bench $499.
The collection will be available starting this August at selected IKEA stores.

I'm loving the new PS Bruse coffee table for $149.
From the picture shown, the table top looks a bit "raw/natural" with an uneven edging? Too bad that it doesn't come in a dining table size. Or maybe it will?
August Bench- yes please.
Is it just me, or has Ikea really stepped it up lately?

From the looks of Pic #2, someone in Stockholm has been paying attention to AT
Any idea on what stores will carry the collection? I really hope we get the coffee table in Salt Lake City.
Oh, Ikea, how do I love thee...
OMG! OMG! Maskros and August! I'm getting on the water taxi NOW.
Ikea always seems to stop one step short of being perfect for me. I love that bed from the picture but I know when I see it in the store it will look and feel more like a child's bed.
Love the PS August bench, and the PS Stock vases. NEAT!
Meh.
i love the coffee table [#4], the vases [#7], and the saga chair [#9] from the pictures. who knows if i'll love them in person...
Really nice. Does anyone know when these items hit the stores?
"Any idea on what stores will carry the collection?"
Yes, IKEA stores...
that bed.....wow do i wish i would have waited another couple months before buying the malm...
August bed pricing is whack. For that money, I'll take the Mies knockoff and have tons more style.
One Krona bowl, please.
I guess I am the only one disappointed to see IKEA at ICFF....
It all looks great, but I don't know if I feel comfortable paying this much for Ikea build quality when there are so many durable vintage items available. If I buy a $500 Ikea bench, I've gotta be absolutely convinced it won't decompose before my eyes.
I will have 2 of the PS Maskros,Pendant for $89.99, please.
Those pendants -- those baskets -- those round tables!!!
(The sad thing is I can't think of any holes in my place to use these things... )
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that bed is awesome looking. I think I would love it more in a brighter color though.
That bed is so very cool! It's going to be hard for me not to covet it until I figure out how to get one.
IKEA has some cheap stuff.....but mixed in is a whole lot of incredible treasures.
Wow . . . I think all of those pieces are kinda hideous.
I have a daybed from Ikea and it is more comfortable then any bed I slept on. I just wish they did not discontinue this beautiful / comfortable model...
And that lamp definitely rocks!
I saw most of these items recently in my local Ikea (outside of Paris) - they're definitely a step above the standard Ikea fare. The quality seems to be quite good - the items are sturdy and seem like they'd stand up to regular use for years.
The Bruse is SOLID (the legs are metal and the whole table is HEAVY). My only complaint is that the top is very heavily varnished.
My husband and I are seriously in love with the Maskros - whatever it's made out of manages to be both light and flexible without being flimsy (and it's matte instead of plastic-y shiny). I just wish it came in different colors, but I suppose that can be easily hacked.
My 5 year old will love that bed and those lights. It's all very lovely. Hope it shows up in Australia.
Crates. Really?
I was thinking that my nine year old would love that bed. I think $500 is too much for an Ikea item.
I do agree that Ikea has stepped up its game in recent years, though. I have the clear tobias chairs and they are fabulous for $100.
'meh' is kinda how I feel too. I really like the Karljohan and the Saga, but I don't think either of those items are particularly innovative. hmmm. oh well.
I'm completely unimpressed.
Love the bench. Wish I hadn't gotten the Ikea bathroom benches for my foyer a while ago. Although that was cheaper.
Oh nooo!
I love that bed!! And I only just bought the Mandal...
oh no!
Seeing as not ALL Ikea stores will be be apparently carrying the collection, I hope the Orlando store is one of them.
mb0503: Your best bet is to call your SLC Ikea and see if they'll be one of the "select stores."
only about 8 stores will carry the PS line...super sad for the rest of us!
i dunno, it all looks really boring to me. the crate thing is so unappealing.
Love the bed, but to me everything seems like something I could find elsewhere/do on my own for less/of higher quality. The table and bench don't have that much character (not that I expect character from Ikea, but these shapes seem like thats the intent).
I got an incredible solid oak dresser thats at least 60 yrs old over the weekend for $200. Makes the prices of these pieces without history seem extravagant. I bought Ikea to furnish my first apartment because it was cheap. If I'm paying good money, I'll go to a great antique shop, or a local craftsman to get a piece I will treasure well past my student days.
