Peter Loh - In the busy ICFF sea of good and bad crap, Peter Loh's booth was an island of serenity. With two stripped down, natural designs handcrafted in Bellevue, Washington, we felt the shapes were not only highly original, they were also practical.
We love the Leaves of Grass coat rack, which updates the concept of coat rack and gives it an organic, sculptural spin. The Clutch coffee table is an elegant use of new and ancient hardwoods and can be configured to any size glass top (more pics at bottom).
Christine Hagen - This shade blew us away and would make Isamu Noguchi proud. Created by originally folding a single piece of paper, Christine Hagen's design is a prototype only and is seen made with muslin cover over a translucent plastic core. It effortlessly unfolds and would create instant drama in any window treatment.
Home use is possible, but restaurant use could make the most of this design. Scalable to any size, Christine can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
