Tay Lighting, based in England, was showing at ICFF for the first time this year. The lighting company was started in 2000 by Tina Hancox and Lucy Quick. Their hand painted patterns on the glass globes are highly decorative when lit but not overpowering, as many are done in simple b&w, white on white or a matte/opaque implementation. We especially liked the floor and table lamps, which really looked like some kind of fantastic sea urchin or magical underwater creature... Overall, they have a distinctly Eastern feel. The designs seem to be influenced by islamic patterns, nature and traditional Asian floral motifs. More info: taylighting.com
