If you can't afford solid wood furniture, Mio doesn't think you should hide behind a veneer — embrace an environmentally-friendly particle board.
The stool has a steel frame and its seat is made from recycled tires. It's held in place by friction.
Mio will recycle their new Loop Tyvek wall covering when consumers send it back to them.

The stool looks more like a rack to hang dry towels than a seating.
the storage unit reminds me a little of the IKEA expedit (though cooler). i like the modular-ness.
Particle board is not environmentally friendly... it may be 'using the leftovers,' but the chemicals used to press that stuff together are harsh!
I love the storage though...
okay, I read the Materials on the website:
"Formaldehyde free particleboard made from independently certified 100% pre-consumer recycled wood fibers, doors and panels made from laser-cut, powder coated steel."
but a big part of me doesn't believe that it can be done without emitting something harmful...
