A Danish architect and designer, Jacobsen created the Ant chair (originally with three legs) in 1952, followed by the closely related 3107 ("Seven") chair in 1955, among many other pieces furniture, including the famous Egg Chair. Here's a sampling of inspiring scenarios from around the web featuring two of his iconic, stackable side chairs.

Sprout Side Table
Love #4. Love the chandelier (I've been hankering for it for a long time) and the chairs and the table and the space. Seeing it makes me want to sell my house and buy an old barn immediately.
The chairs and everything else in this post just blurred out of existence for me when I saw that fuschia wall -- it was love at first sight. I'm going to find a way to charm that color right into my bedroom.
lola, I agree, the fuschia wall is the bomb, especially with the contrasting white beams.
I love A Jacobsen. I hope to one day afford one of her pieces.
What's with all the spam comments on AT lately? Someone wake up the IT guy!
Or the IT girl. Sorry for being sexist.
Oooo, the seven chairs are totally fab. I love that they come in fun colors too. Add them to the ever-growing wish list!
Are these comfortable at all? I think they look great and I think they'd look good with our new dining table but husband isn't convinced that sitting on plastic is comfortable. And how much weight will these chairs support? They look pretty strong but we have friends of all shapes and sizes.
Mine are wood, not plastic; black versions of #1 and 3. Unfortunately one of them cracked (vertically) from someone leaning back in it, so now the back is not stiff.
Found a red series seven in perfect condition in a junk shop in London on the way to the tube. It was priced at 15 pounds, but the trader offered it for a tenner. SOLD! The are really comfortable, and quite flexible - beware of imitations.
