A friend of ours forwarded us an email from a site we'd never heard of that had great tips for local trips: Ideal Bite.
Ideal Bite sends out a Daily Candy-type email with green tips. This one in particular was suggesting taking the train up to Ojai and staying at the Spa there. Um, yes please.
They also had a great blurb on a quick trip down to San Diego and one to Santa Barbara.
