Q: I'm helping to plan a baby shower for a friend and the space we're having it in has an unsightly wall of cabinets. I was thinking of using an idea I learned from Apartment Therapy and covering it with a rasterbated image. The problem is I can't seem to find a suitable image as rasterbated images seem to work best with photos and a photo seems too serious for a baby shower. The theme is "sweet dreams" -- any ideas?

Editor: I would suggest a stock image site like iStockphoto. You have to become a member, but individual images are very reasonable. Readers, what ideas do you have?

Sprout Side Table
The first thing that came to mind for me was a big print of Starry Night- on theme without being too cutesy?
Baby pictures of the parents?
I'm not sure how a photo can be too serious for a baby shower -- you can find stock images of rubber duckies, teddy bears, baby items, babies, booties, whatever whimsical -- and rasterbate. Photos don't have to be serious.
I second baby pictures of the parents!
I was thinking a starry night or some fluffy clouds
ultrasound pics
I was thinking something nighttime too, like a moon, or stars. But I also like the idea of an ultrasound picture. I think the black and white lends itself to that style of art.
sheep!
i vote fluffy clouds
A "Goodnight Moon" cover print. :)
Blue sky with puffy clouds. Or a giant pacifier.
Do you need to be able to open the cabinets? If not, an inexpensive option would be a pretty pale blue fabric hung artfully as a backdrop, and a string with clothespins (can buy both at a grocery store) hanging baby clothes in the colors of your choice--either bright colored tiny shirts etc., or only tiny white socks...depending on the rest of the decor.
I've always been fond of the paper moon portrait images from the early 1900's. There are plenty to be found online, or you could paint one if you're artistically inclined.
Why not a pic of a sleeping baby?
There is also stock exchange (sxc.hu) it doesn't have as many photos as iStockphoto, but it's free and has some pretty good stock images.
One of those Anne Geddes pics of a sleeping baby in a flower or dressed up like a hedgehog or whatever...
