Q: I purchased 2 good sized round mirrors from IKEA a while back, but realized quickly that the walls in my little apartment couldn't hold the weight. What are some other creative ideas for decorating with round mirrors?

Two thoughts:
1) try propping the mirror (you might need something to help anchor it if it's perfectly round). Then place a vase with branches or flowers in front of it to double the effect of the blooms.
2) if you have a large vanity or dresser, lie the mirror on top and cluster perfume, cologne bottles and trinket boxes on top so that they reflect. Or do the same on a credenza/sideboard in the living room with nice liquor bottles and chromed bar ware, for a mini cocktail area.
Have fun experimenting!
I used a mirror to top a coffee table. Looks great and needs no coasters!
Have you had a handyman come in to see if there's a way to hang them? Or did you mean stylistic weight rather than poundage? Our handyman can hang anything anywhere with his collection of bits and bobs.
Otherwise, another vote for horizontal with stuff on top. Candles and whatnot?
