Q: I (like everyone else who designed a nursery recently) have tree decals on the wall of my son Quinn's room. They've been such a huge trend over the past few years, I can't imagine I am the only mom out there wishing I could get some Christmas ornament decals? I would love to add a little festive touch to the white wintery looking branches. I've looked around, but haven't come up with anything so far, and I'm now considering DIY'ing it! Any ideas?

Editor: My first thought was to use contact paper to cut out ornaments. You could use white and decorate them with markers or paint. I believe contact paper should leave your paint job intact, but you might want to test it first. Readers, what brilliant ideas do you have for Sarah?

Shaw's Original Fir...
there are a lot of options if you google "christmas ornament decals" you could trim any of them to meet your needs.
I also see a lot of options on etsy. Just for example....

btw love this idea!
I would just find pretty patterned scrapbook paper and cut out the shapes I wanted. You could glue it to cardstock to make it sturdier and keep it from curling and use sticky tack (the gum/clay/silly putty stuff that teachers use) to add them to the walls.
You can make your own decals as follows. Buy some cute fabric and some fabric stiffener. Coat the fabric and let dry. Cut out ornaments and then use your iron on the lowest setting (no steam) and iron them on to the wall. The stiffener will keep the fabric from fraying and make it act like a vinyl decal- no damage to the wall. I use this technique to change the leaves on my daughter's nursery tree.
you can also use liquid laundry starch ($3 at my grocery store) like paste to attach fabric to the wall and peel it off when you are done.
Found some cute holidays designs here while looking for my nursery decals.

starch + fabric is easy, inexpensive & offers the most options for creativity
have fun:)
Where did you get the decals on the wall right now?
