Q: I'm hunting for an interesting modern white credenza. My favorite is the Wave Credenza from the Conran Shop, but it seems to be unavailable in the US now that they closed the NY store. Another thought is the DWR Sussex Line Credenza, but they no longer make it in white. Any other ideas from the Apartment Therapy community would be so appreciated!

Shaw's Original Fir...
I do like the one from the Coran Shop better than the one from DWR.
For the selling price, have you thought of hiring a contractor to mimic the credenza?
How about emailing the Coran Shop and see if they have any retailers in the US that may have it on clearance. Another shop you might consider is SCANDINAVIAN DESIGNS:

But I don't see what you are looking for in that design...Good Luck
I have no idea what the Conran credenza costs, but something similar albeit a bit less sophisticated but with the same faceted white front, is CB2's Alba Credenza. In terms of its articulated structure, the Alba is more architectural, and I'd guess a good deal less expensive.
There is no substitute.
Why not contact the designer's website? Price is available on request, and they may be able to arrange for shipping, especially as Conran's closed in the U.S.

About shipping -- I've had furniture shipped from all corners of the globe, and it is not nearly as expensive as you assume it to be, so don't let it discourage you.
p.s. Conran's from the UK might be able to arrange shipping as well, so check with them too.
If you're up for a bit of light DIY-ing, you could apply 3D wall tiles to the door-fronts of a simple inexpensive credenza to get the look of the Wave credenza. For example, the Flows tile from mywallart.com (http://www.mywallart.com/details/Flows) with an ikea credenza or "fauxdenza" (http://www.the-brick-house.com/2011/08/fauxdenza/).
Could you DIY it with Inhabit's sculptural wall tiles applied to a standard dresser?According to the website, they're a material that has a similar weight to plywood or particle board, so it might work...(not sure how the scale would look, though!) The Stitch and Seesaw patterned tiles have a similar horizontal layout:

I agree with @AKK730 That was the same idea I was going to post.
I also think wall tiles could work... posted a comment earlier that didn't show up. The "stitch" and "seesaw" designs could be similar, but be sure to check the scale of the pattern:

I don't know if a dresser would work as well for you as a credenza, but the Beau dresser from Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams has a similar look and feel, though not white. http://www.mgbwhome.com/BEAU-6-DRAWER-CHESTBR-available-online--P9640.aspx
How about.....using the plastic slates from a mini blind...the raised part would need a small block of wood foam, etc.for support . The wave ,lower part could be stapled. After all the "building" , cover with some kind of filler, very lightly. Next would be a good painting to blend it altogrther. I would like some feedback on the idea. Can we look for a final on whatever avenue you take? RAA
I found a DWR Sussex credenza in white, in perfect condition, for $400 on Craigslist a year ago. You can also buy the new one and have it painted white.
not to be inappropriate, and please forgive the terrrrribleness of our under-construction 90s-revival website, but I work for a furniture company and am certain that we could make a piece in that precise vein for you for significantly less than the $3k that DWR/etc are asking. I do a lot of this kind of work for folks, and it's been a good experience translating drawings to product - our work is a little more rustic in style, however.
