Ikea Finds

We finally hopped on the free shuttle over to the new Ikea in Brooklyn to check it out and get some stuff. Five hours and a few stops in the Swedish restaurant/cafe later, we emerged with a few good finds. (some were on our list, some were not).

Every since we saw this AT post last year, we've been looking for cheap slippers to stock our own round basket that sits on our entryway bench. We finally decided Ikea was the best way to do that. Their white slippers are just $1.99 each so you can buy a bunch.

Though it wasn't quite what we had pictured from the online photo, we did wind up with the Snille visitor chair, previously posted on here. After sitting in the chair with the stationary legs, and also testing out the swivel legs, we have to agree with one of the comments- the stationary legs seem much better. The swivel felt cheap.

There was a good question not too long ago on Over the Door Storage. Well, this Vacker Hanging Organizer is meant for the closet because it has two sides, but could also work on a wall or door if you only use one side. We liked the clean design and the price- just $4.99.

Although we originally had a basket in mind, we wound up with this Knodd Bin. It's a big enough size to toss in loose toys/stuffed animals, and we like the fact that the lid conceals it all. It also has a nice clean look with the cream steel and silver handles.

Well, those are unfortunately- just a few of our finds from yesterday. Tell us if we missed something great that you've found!
