In the latest Elle Decor, Sarah Jessica Parker's Bridgehampton house is beautifully shot to show us how the high life is lived with simplicity and elegance.
But what thrilled us most was seeing the fabulous Ikea MERETE curtain panels ($34.99) in all of the bedrooms.
These are the curtains that we use whenever we need a simple clean look and don't have a lot of money to spend. They come in a bunch of colors and come super long so you can create quite a dramatic look, or hem them to fit your needs.
We love when money is spent wisely. These grommet curtains can be found elsewhere for much more, but there is no need for silly pride when it comes to common sense.

Alec, you're absolutely right: money well spent speaks well of the buyer whatever the size of the purse. It also underscores a serious point: good design doesn't have to be expensive.
I have an idea I want to try to implement, mainly use an L shaped pipe with these curtains to cover a sliding glass door (my apartment looks out an inner courtyard so I'd prefer some privacy). The window is by a wall, so I'd like one end to attach to the wall the window is located at and then go out and over to the connecting wall. Anyone have any ideas for hardware that would look nice?
Please,
I need help!
Where I can find a groomet curtain on internet?
Very funny she copied me.CHEATER!!!. I have them in all my Hamptons bedrooms already - see www.31islandview.com
