Believe it or not, this is a great IKEA hack for kids that doesn't involve the EXPEDIT. It's a simple version of a play kitchen that includes only a stove and oven, so it's compact and easy to make.
An IKEA hacker from Germany created this simple stove for her kids. It requires only an ODDVAR stool, a few hooks and knobs. With some paint, she created burners and an oven that look clean and simple but, we expect, could produce some serious imaginary cooking.

Sprout Side Table
Brilliant, and so cute! Perfect for small spaces (or grandma & grandpa's house, where they can easily put this in a closet when the grandkids aren't around.)
ODDVAR is not available in the US :(
I am thinking any table like this one regardless if it's IKEA or not could be used, as long as it has the same basic design.
This is really a great idea!
Part of me wants to make one for every one of my friends' kids.
This is so cute. I love the simplicity. A hack I could actually see myself being able to pull off.
Love it! Too bad you can't get the oddvar here though :(
I'll have to find something similar, because this is too cute to pass up!
