Want a spontaneously sexy chandelier? With a handful of those $3.99 socket cords and a little creativity, you can create this gorgeous Ikea Hack.
Granted, you might need to Google "wiring a light," but otherwise this DIY project is as easy as could be. It's from coozerlv over at Instructables.
Grab a bunch of those Hemma cord sets from Ikea and paint them black. Then, wire them up together in the center of your room. Last, pull each cord away from the center and let it effortlessly dangle from an eye hook in the ceiling.
Check out the step-by-step project here.
Remember that since the bulbs will be exposed, you want to choose dim bulbs that won't give off harsh light. Or, you could fashion cool shades for each one.

Love those brown/dark brown wall hangings. Any chance anyone knows where they can be found for purchase?
This is cool, but it would be way cooler with a bunch of different old-timey Edison bulbs.
I really like the lighting, but not in this room. The organic form of the lighting "fixture" clashes with clean lines of the rest of the room and makes it feel sloppy.
This a great alternative to the $399 Pottery Barn Edison Chandelier.
I love the way they designed the chandelier, it's very creative and the price is affordable too.
