Howard Butcher Bloc...
Ikea is getting cheaper in quality. They used to have metal laminated picture frames, of which I own six, and now they are laminated with plastic tape made to look like metal but of course looks awful.
I forgot to say that I wish they had more modern looking furniture geared for the American market. A lot of Ikea's take on modern actually doesn't look very modern at all.
I'll say it again: among the many many items I have procured from the trash that I later sell on Craigslist are Ikea tables, shelves, mirrors, chairs, etc.
These items that I upload to Craigslist do sell fast. What this tells me is that while yes they do go fast, they are also among the first items many people moving out leave behind, which tells me that they might not value or even like the items that much.
I kind of saw the appeal of Ikea in my youth, now, not so much.
are you sure the wardrobe in Robert's Rooftop View Over Berlin is from Ikea?
I have worked for IKEA for many, many years in Interior Design and the wardrobe in 'Robert's Rooftop View Over Berlin' is NOT from IKEA.
@RHD, LOL... Pretty shocking error, no? Apparently, someone mistook one of his "inherited Chinese antiques" for Ikea, If only you and your comrades could do something like that at Ikea prices...
Separately, I am very glad AT decided against citing the Ikea product names in this post.
