Scrolling through one of our go to design blogs the other day, Desire to Inspire, we came across this picture. Hey, isn't that the Knappa lamp...but in orange? We know a spot where this would be perfect so we clicked over to the Ikea website, credit card at the ready. No go. Hmmm, perhaps in Ikea Australia? Nope...
So we're putting the question out there...have any of you seen the Knappa lamp in orange or are we gonna have to resort to spray paint?

nope. never seen it in orange, i figured it was painted.
me niether- i thought it was painted too... although looks like something Jess at How About Orange would like to see!
would spray paint do the job? seeing this makes me want to give mine a makeover...
That looks really sweet!
Doesn't the knappa come in pieces which have to be assembled? Seems simple to take the same type of material in orange and cut out the same shapes to make an orange one.
How about Photoshop?
I've tried spraypainting a Knappa red and it worked just fine.
However, I guess if you bought the lamp in white, it would be very easy to just use the plastic petals it comes with as a pattern to cut the same shapes out of any slightly bendy material - and then you could just assemble them on the plastic "skeleton" in the middle of the lamp.
No, but something similar can be found here:

oooo that would be beyond perfect in my foyer (light blue & orange).
Very nice find Molly.
