IKEA invited guests to get spoon-taneous. At a recent pop-up kitchen shop in downtown Toronto, people were handed wooden spoons instead of basket or carts—that acted like magic shopping wands.

It all worked similarly to a registry gun: Shoppers tapped the spoons, embedded with a RFID chip, on the approximately 5o kitchen products available in the shop, and the spoon was then scanned at checkout and delivered.

There were also Google Cardboard VR headsets where you could see an IKEA kitchen in 3D.

You can check out pics from the popup on Instagram.
