IKEA Will Only Sell LED Lighting by 2016

According to The Verge, furniture giant and weekend maze to soft serve ice cream reward retailer, IKEA, will be transitioning to an all-LED lighting inventory by 2016. Citing environmental reasons for the transition away from incandescents and even energy efficient CFLs, IKEA is betting LED lighting technology will scale up in performance (20 years life) with prices dropping down (their 3.5 watt/150 lumen LEDARE is currently $9.99, still pricey).
