When we run across a DIY craft that's this cute, we want to shout from the rooftops, "You have to make this!" For those of us that are crafters ourselves, we also get a pang of "I wish I'd thought of that!" And for the even smaller subset among us whose toddler son got his toenail knocked off by a can of corn while building a food castle in the pantry, well, this craft is especially meaningful.
Jodi Kahn is the crafting genius that came up with this adorable plush can project. We're not surprised. Jodi makes the kind of crafts that nobody else has thought of. She uses materials you wouldn't think of, techniques you've probably never tried, and creates adorable, useful handmade items that are actually not too hard to make for yourself. Can you tell what the top of the can is made of? It's ironing board cover fabric! Genius!
The full instructions are available in her brand new book, Simply Sublime Gifts: High-Style, Low-Sew Projects to Make in a Snap, which is chock full of gorgeous tutorials.
