Where some people see an antiquated piece of computer history usually relegated to the attic or garage, Klaus Diebel saw possibilities of lending outdated Macs a new lease on life as completely different appliances. Coffee maker, popcorn machine, outdoor mailbox, iPad dock…spanning from the obvious to the "what the heck?!".
- The new iMac Coffee Edition has got an "Injector System" and is now fit for cappuccino!
- The new iMac A/V Edition turns the iMac into an iPhone/iPod/ iPad - Movie and Sound Dock with HDMI out + Bluetooth.
- Instead of the Mac mini you can now also choose an integrated top class Full HD Media Player/Streamer (Xtreamer).
- Last but not least, the Cube is reborn as the SubCube 2.1 sound system featuring iPod/iPhone Dock + Bluetooth.
All these creations are available for purchase over at Kiwidee.com, starting at around $420. We've got a spare iMac back at the parent's house that might warrant investigation for a DIY project inspired by these conversions (ant farm?).
