Although many aren't into the whole T.V. watching thing, many of us are more than happy to allow in a little Yo Gabba Gabba or Foster's Home once in awhile. Large remotes are quite cumbersome for small hands (not to mention confusing), but iMote makes things simple and safe!

Wish Apartment therapy had a dislike button. I personally feel like this would be only possibly appropriate for a child who is MUCH too old to drool.
Like many families, we have children of various ages, and this looks like a great idea for us. It would limit our older children's viewing options, but when it inevitably gets left on the family room floor, the 2-year-old couldn't do much harm to it (or land on HBO when randomly pushing buttons). This is going on my wish list!
I think this remote would not be useful for us. We have a programmable remote already.
I really like this idea. Befoer anyone jumps down my throat about letting my kids watch tv let me say I'm not opposed to tv for my kids, they do alot of other stuff all day long. Exercies, crafts, imaginative play yada yada yada.
Any idea if it it would work with direct tv receiver?
oh whatever. i think it's a cute idea. i mean it's not the most important invention mankind has seen, but i can see how it would be useful (and fun!) for a little bit here and there. there's nothing wrong with your kids watching t.v as long as they do more of other things throughout the day.

(just kidding-- as a mother who, yes, lets her kid watch television, I always brace myself for the Mommy Wars television-watching discussions... we'll see how this one goes...)
My LO is obsessed with the t.v. remote. It really has very little to do with the t.v., although we do let her watch - which I think is preferable to going to work without showering. I think this looks like a great option. I'm not really a fan of letting her chew on the regular remote.

I would like one of these with programmable buttons, so you could choose any five channels. I think I only watch that many anyway.
I certainly let my child watch tv... but if she can't read the numbers & station to change the channel (she isn't old enough), then I don't want her to have that much control over the tv & certainly NOT the volume.
.... not to mention the ON buttons. It would be certain warfare in my house.
i wish there was one for my husband with only stations i wanted to watch.
We do let our kids watch tv, selectively, and only on nonschool days, but they have no need to actually control the tv. I can put it on a show they can watch and when it is over, they turn it off. Why do the kids need to be able to flip around and channel surf? If your child does watch a lot of unsupervised television, then I think this might be useful.
My jaw just hit the floor. What's the age recommendation on this thing? It's think it's all-around terrible. Sorry if that sounds self-righteous -allow me to push that button myself. :)

How useful could this be? My children watch television, but surely a child watching these channels wouldn't be on their own for so long that they would need their own remote.
"Darling, I'm not going to communicate with you at all for a couple of hours, but its OK because you can only watch Cartoon Network".
