As new homeowners, we're told on a regular basis that we will "never be finished." That may be true, in a sense, but we firmly believe in fulfilling our summer to-do list without worrying too much about the ongoing work that a home requires. With a tight budget and rising living costs, we're spacing out our jobs more than we were a few months ago (when we were over-eager with more cash and many simultaneous projects)... Whatever your situation may be, we have a hunch we're not alone. On our short list: kitchen backsplash, new paint in living room and dining room, replacing all quarter rounds throughout the house. Not hugely cost prohibitive, but our focus right now is the outdoors, so things inside will have to wait. We're saving up for an outdoor rug and a table set - not exactly a DIY project, but the sooner we're able to enjoy the outdoors fully, the better.
