Straight from our own Small Cool 2009 contest going on right now over at our city sites, comes a noteworthy contender from the heart San Francisco, California. With such a small space to work with, Brenden and Shannon were forced to go through a number of trial and error setups before settling on the half living room/half home office you see before you now. Pushing the bedroom into the small closet, they truly maximize their space despite having only 478 square feet to work it.

Their TV size seems a bit reserved, but is probably the most optimal choice for a space as small as theirs. Going any larger will make the room feel tiny, but sacrificing any more would make the room feel empty (and tech-less!).
