One of our favorite posts from yesterday was the lovely inspirational post regarding the use of school desks as side chairs from Danielle at AT:SF. While some may find the look a bit cumbersome or a reminder of those terrible elementary school years, as far as functionality goes - we find it works, especially if you're the type that enjoys doing a lot of computing while watching television...
However, our biggest gripe with using it on the daily would be the fact that these chairs probably won't pass as the most comfortable choice of seating for long periods of time. As far as we can remember, these plastic shelled chairs weren't the best ergonomically designed pieces of furniture while growing up in school, and we're pretty sure there is a very large performance gap when comparing this seating alternative to a dedicated office chair and desk.
Then again, if you're really short on space, it's one mighty fine alternative, no? Let us know what you think the comments!

Clever idea. But as a current college student who has to sit in these a few times a week, while typing away at a laptop, I shudder at the idea of voluntarily using these desks at home.
Agreed with the above statement, but if I have a beer in my hand, sitting while socializing with friends - it could work!
