I've had a new tabletop radio on my wishlist for two years now. (Yeah, I'm one of those people with commitment issues who obsessively window shops before buying anything). During the search, I've made notes on what I'm looking for in an ideal radio: iPod/MP3 compatibility (duh), good reception, compact design, an alarm would be nice, and — this is my ultimate deciding factor — it's got to look good.

Gahh, I'm in the SAME situation- agonizing over which radio to buy. I'm especially frustrated, because I'd prefer one with an iPod dock (not just iPod "compatibility" which then requires extra unsightly wires or an independent dock) to keep my, what, 2nd generation iPod from dying mid-song. Most docks are so awkward though- perched up on top of the radio like some unicorn horn. Stylistically, Tivolis win, but I may pick up a Crosley.
/cool story bro, but good luck in your search!
Do they make a tabletop radio that gets HD radio? That would be on my list with the ipod dock!
I just added a long rant on the Tivoli post above this one. I do not recommend.
I have a Boston Acoustics SOLO clock radio that is amazing sounding. Maybe not as cool looking as the retro Tivoli style (based on the old KLH radios), but blew my much larger (and much more $$) Tivoli Model 2 away.
The Crosley sounds horrendous. Tivoli table radios aren't the best sounding thing in the world, but they are much better than the Crosley. I haven't heard all the table radios in the list but of those I have the Geneva sounds the best. (I really want to give the Areaware 2B Radio a listen though, just haven't gotten around to it.)
