Think you don't have enough space for a mudroom? Think again. Over at House Tweaking they have transformed a hall closet into a mini mudroom for less than $160. Using a space that had previously been forgotten has created a landing pad for a busy family.

By widening the doorway a bit, adding lighting and reusing an old bench they transformed a formerly awkwardly placed closet into a functional mudroom space for the family.

As Dana describes,

More than anything, I love the function of this space. As the homeowners, we nearly always enter our house through the garage, so it made sense to have our dropzone in proximity to the garage versus the front door. We use this space daily and it helps keep clutter (shoes, bags, coats, etc.) in check. It’s amazing how much a small room can do if you utilize it to the best of its abilities!
