In the South Beach neighborhood of San Francisco, this warehouse facade now fronts a converted contemporary loft. Completed by Edmonds + Lee Architects, the project — called the Oriental Warehouse Loft — now boasts a sleek, modern duplex.

The high ceilings and sleek new interior finishes give the large, airy apartment a very open feel.

The shower looks heavenly, but is not for the modest as it offers views for onlookers.

The voluminous living and dining rooms downstairs are overlooked by the bedroom and hallway above. Not for the cozy den-burrowing type, the colossal space offers a living experience that is wide-open and expansive. A game of badminton, anyone?

wow...holy mac-aroni!
Well, I know this building and I had high hopes, ones that are a bit disappointed by this bachelor pad. It looks expensive and built to impress, but feels sort of unoriginal. Is it for sale? Maybe it's waiting for it's new lucky owner to infuse it with his personal style.
I went looking for the square footage and price on this unit, out of curiosity, since it looks huge and presumably is very expensive.
Found what seems to be another unit in the same building, with more warmth (thanks to the wood floors and other design choices). Very nice looking, to say the least. This one feels more homelike to me. The one in the post above just feels too austere.

(the one I found is already sold, for $1,198,000 )
Count me among the "cozy, den-burrowing type." I like interior spaces to have a sense of intimacy, and if I want to play badminton, I'll go outside!
That looks like a high-water-flow shower head! In San Francisco? In a state with constant water shortages?
I can't even imagine the heating costs for this space (SF ain't exactly warm and cozy much of the time).
wow - kind of in love. i don't see this as bachelor (i'm a woman); with the right art and furniture i think this space could be beautiful. except the bath, which is a little too dark for me and personally i don't like those rain showers. its hard to relax with all that water pouring over and on my noggin / in my eyes like that...
Oh, wow! I used to live in the high-rise next door to this place (in 1999, this isn't exactly new), and I could see in from the top since I was on the 11th floor. It's quite literally a facade-- the warehouse itself has no roof anymore, and the loft building exists inside, with about... 10(?) feet of space between the exterior walls of the lofts and the walls of the warehouse.
I used to sit on my balcony and stare down into the building, trying to figure it out. I've always wanted to know what it looked like inside, this is awesome!
