Interesting fact. Joe Biden is the first Catholic Vice President.
and his middle name is Robinette !
We watched it on our laptop with our two year old who learned to say 'Obama' on voting day in November.
It's been hard to get back to my online work as I've had NPR on all day to keep up with festivities.
4 more years of increased big government? As though the past 20 weren't bad enough.
We biked over and were able to snag a great spot in front of the WWII Memorial, with views of two jumbotrons and in the middle of a great crowd!
An amazing day for all Americans, but especially those of us who never thought we'd see someone of colour/mixed heritage in the biggest house of them all!
I decided at the last minute to take the day off. I wanted to watch this historic moment on tv. I was and will continue to be overjoyed and overwhelmed. I cried... and I smiled. I am PROUD of our country.... and I see the possibilities. I am in my 40's and I never thought that this day would come. I am glad that I lived long enough to see it! I am soooo proud and happy.
