This look works great when used to punch up a clean modern vibe, and looks seamless when included in a eclectic, travel-oriented or southwestern setting. You can pick up knock off versions at places like Urban Outfitters but I prefer searching sites like ebay for vintage versions or picking up originals while traveling.

Numbers 1, 3, 5, and 8 are not Navajo style rugs or blankets. Please do yourself a favor and refrain from misusing that term. You did fine calling them Southwestern inspired. Leave it at that.
At a guess, the writer is not from the southwest.
About half of these images are filled with Mexican, Guatamalan or generic knock-offs; definitely not Navajo, and not really southwestern. It's as though someone put a Thai hanging on the wall then said Look, Chinese style!
Thanks for featuring our Get the Look post on the Ace Hotel Palm Springs! We love that place.
