Hotel Le Placide is located in the heart of Paris on the Left Bank. It sits inside a typical, tight Parisian footprint—you could call it a pied-à-terre—but despite its city-centric design, the interiors are styled to connect with the outdoors. It's a good lesson in subtly bringing the natural world into an urban apartment.
Interior designer Bruno Borrione used Cole & Son's Woods Wallpaper to create the illusion of space. The windows are large, and the light-colored walls benefit from generous natural light, while small details like furry throws on the beds play up the woodsy theme.
There are sky-lit interior courtyards in the building, where potted trees and plants thrive. Bright red trim and turquoise rugs bring color into the courtyards, and vases full of branches tie back into the forest-inspired decor. It's a discreet nod to outdoor style that still feels citified and chic.

Nomade Express Slee...
That tree wallpaper is simply gorgeous!
That wall paper seems so bold, until it's paired with a majority of crisp white furnishings! Love it with the espresso curtains!! Love Love! Thanks for the post!
I love both kinds of wallpaper. Anyone know of how to achieve a similar effect without applying wallpaper? We can't put wallpaper in our rental. I thought about framing wallpaper, but I'd really like a huge wall mural effect without sticking stuff onto the walls. Hanging is one thing, but we can't apply anything like decals (even if it claims that the decals are removable).
Also, does anyone know where the wallpaper is from?
Ah wait, nevermind. It's from Cole and Sons. I found it online, but it's probably way over my price range.
Not quite sure how wallpaper with grey trees and no leaves (lovely as it is) connects the indoors to the outdoors. Most hotels and apartment blocks in Paris have lovely courtyards. This is nothing new. That wallpaper pattern has been around for at least 10 years.
Could hang the IKEA birch tree curtains...
...as wall hangings and over the windows...
Sorry: Anno Unni is the name: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40122212
Tuesdays as Mondays are much worse for me!
CITIPEARL - Awesome suggestion. You could tack fabric over floor-to-ceiling sized stretcher bars.
