A while back we posted about our friend Lori Spears' and her partner's industrial table-turned-media console. A reader commented on the post with a link to their own version of a similar idea and we wanted to share since, well, it's pretty darn slick. "After looking around on the internet, I couldn’t find any nice industrial style media console tables. So I got an idea from an early 1900s vintage French piece and started a new design," the owner of Shop Retro writes on their site. "The way the frame is built, it has moulding around the edges with large iron rivets keeping it all together. The lower cabinet can hold audio/video components and the cloverleaf screen door allows your remotes to work with the doors closed. And there is a hole in the back of the cabinet for wiring. The back of the frame is built to hold and hide wiring from the TV down to the AV components."
The top is made of solid walnut and 6-inch cast iron wheels make it safe and easy to move around all your media gear. You can get your own straight from Shop Retro for $1,350.
