Q: My partner and I bought a 3 story c. 1905 house in Pittsburgh about a year ago. It's awesome, and we're finally getting to a point where we've started furnishing the spaces. We have had a sectional for a while, which we intended to put up on the 3rd floor, for a fun hang out space.
Eventually, we intend to put a bathroom up there and make it a master suite, but until then we want to use it as a tv/reading/hangout space. I mentioned the sectional because we had INTENDED to put it up there. Unfortunately, this is a tall and narrow house, with very narrow hallways. That sectional was not fitting past the hallway on the second floor. So, short of getting some bean bag chairs, which are super comfortable for a toddler, but not so much for a marathon of tv or video games for us adults, we really don't know what to do.
Our hallway is slightly wider than a doorway. Any thoughts on some adult, nice looking, lower cost options for furniture that will fit through a 12' long x 30" wide x 10' tall hallway? I'm putting emphasis on inexpensive, and also very slim.
