Cinephiles and modernist furniture collectors take note: legendary filmmaker Ingmar Bergman's estate went up for auction today, with a catalog of midcentury furnishings, artworks and miscellany that stoked our fires of envy. Below are ten of our favourite furniture items offered from Bergman's collection of oh-so-tasteful selection of chairs, desks, shelves and even an electrical model of a 1:50 scale model of the Royal Dramatic Theatre!
Other notable offerings from the estate are an Eames lounge and ottoman, his record and CD collection, and vintage suitcase that sold for over $12,000, despite an initial estimated $200-300 selling price. Check out the full catalog of auction items that were offered today at Bukowskis Fine Auctioneer Site.

This is my husband's favorite director.
Love the white and blue chest/desk.

Where can I find that secretary desk? Beyond the usual "Danish Modern" knockoffs in the Los Angeles area it's remarkably hard to find anything distinctive in this genre. This one is beautiful, and striking. Anyone have any ideas?
Laid out with flu and watched the entire series of "League of Gentleman." Then purified myself with some Bergman and finished up with "Faithless"
One of the most fascinating people in the world, and he has fabulous things, but it made me profoundly sad and vulture-ish feeling to look at them.
