The word "rug" usually refers to something woven and denouncing some form of textile. That's not really something we've ever questioned before, but when we saw this recycled stained glass rug, we think we can make an exception.

Would you be too nervous having a partially glass floor? We're guessing as long as you're not bowling on it you're probably in the clear, share your thoughts after the jump!

We ran across this "rug" over at Body and Soul. It was shown back in 2007 and we don't know how the idea slipped past us. Although we like the idea for a small space, we're guessing on a larger scale it just wouldn't work (or rather, we call that tiling), but we like the look it gives without having to bring in traditional textiles necessitating vacuuming and additional care.

What do you think? Is it a look to like, but not to own? Share your thoughts below!
